Sand & Water was created in 2017 when Sarah moved back home from Denver after losing her dog, and first love, Lala. Through creating a store that focused on giving back to the local animal shelter she found purpose again… and soon after the new love of her life. The same summer Sarah opened Sand & Water, John lost his dad. In his grief, John began taking long walks along the water. One day he happened to see an old friend outside Sand & Water which brought him into the store. Sarah printed John a custom shirt and he continued to visit daily. They now create nautical designs together inspired by their childhood on the beaches of Marshfield & Duxbury.
